I often head out out food shopping with no particular dish in mind. There are days when I don’t know what I want to eat; not really craving for anything until I see an ingredient that inspires me. On this recent trip to Starsky, a European food market in our area, Spanish Fresh Cheese was my inspiration. As we walked around we just picked up stuff that piqued our tastebuds – Jambon de Bayonne, jalapeño and caviar.
Here’s what we put together when we got home – Jalapeño stuffed with Spanish fresh cheese, wrapped in Jambon de Bayonne.
Baked for 10 to 15 min then broiled for for a few more minutes to add some crisp and caramelization to the ham.
