Raspberry Napoleon

Several weeks ago, we had Napoleon from a French bakery in downtown Oakville. It was delightful! Last week, my daughter and I had a craving for more Napoleon so we tried making it instead of getting it from the bakery. The recipe I found called for a custard filling. The custard turned out a bit runny. I prefer the whipped cream filling in the store-bought Napoleon. If anyone has a Napoleon recipe to share, please post a link in the comment box below.

To save time, I used frozen puff pastry.

I love how light this dessert is. Instead of making a large rectangular piece, I assembled them into individuals servings.

I think if I had left the custard in the fridge a little longer, it would have been less runny. But we are an impatient family when it comes to dessert!
