Although we’ve been to Niagara-on-the-Lake many times before, we still enjoyed our overnight stay this Victoria Day weekend with the Javiers. NOTL was unusually quiet on Saturday, perhaps because of the forecasted showers throughout the day. We went for wine tasting and a winery tour at Peller Estates, hang out by the lake under gray skies and a light drizzle and had dinner at The Guru. The weather was perfect on Sunday! After a hearty breakfast at Silver Maple B&B and Sunday Mass, we rented bikes from Zoom Leisure. We spent all morning biking around the gorgeous neighbourhoods and the waterfront trails. To anyone planning to visit NOTL, park your car and get on a bike. You’ll see the most charming spots in NOTL during your bike ride. Before crossing the border for some shopping, we had ice cream at Cows – a must-do when visiting NOTL. Surprisingly, there was no line-up at the border. After 3 hours of shopping, we were ready for dinner! We drove about half an hour to Anchor Bar, the home of the original Buffalo Chicken Wings. It was a fun weekend getaway! Can’t wait to plan for the next one
