Saturday: Filet Mignon with Blue Cheese Sauce

Francine’s  home and I thought it was a good time to try Ina Garten’s Filet Mignon with Blue Cheese Sauce. This sauce is such a nice treat for the taste buds! It’s an excellent alternative to regular brown gravy.  As I recall, Ina’s cheese sauce was elegantly smooth and lump free. Mine came out chunky :) but I loved how it looked.  The texture adds character to the sauce and photographs nicely :)

Sear seasoned steaks in a pan. I use Montreal Steak seasoning.

I seared the steak in a pan.

Top with butter then cook for a few minutes more in the oven at 400º.
