Lightscoop – for natural looking photos

I generally don’t like pictures taken with flash. I rarely use my camera flash. The white spots on people’s faces and the sharp shadows behind the subjects makes photos look so unnatural. As I was surfing online a couple of weeks ago I came across this nifty camera attachment – Lightscoop. It bounces the camera flash onto the ceiling or wall which produces softer and more natural-looking photos. I finally got it yesterday and I’m quite happy with it. Compare the 2 photos below…
Here’s a shot taken without Lightscoop. Notice the reflection of the glass tabletop onto the wall and the harsh shadows of the table top and legs. It’s because the camera flash is directed right at the subject.

Now here’s a shot taken with Lightscoop. See how soft it looks? No reflection, no harsh shadows.
